With Halloween just around the corner, that means that half term is nearly here! You don’t need to be scared by the thought of spending a week trying to entertain your little monsters – we’ve got you covered! Here’s a list of our top five Halloween events across Hampshire.
1) Spooky Old Sarum
Just around the corner from our homes at Longhedge Village, you can give the kids a day out with ghoulish crafts and quests in the atmospheric setting of Old Sarum. And the best part is, it’s totally free for English Heritage members! Find out more >
2) Ghost Stories – After Dark
If you’re a little harder to scare, why not make a visit to one of the most haunted places in England? Beaulieu will offer a display of over 4,000 pumpkins, ghostly scenes, spooky meet and greets, and fancy dress competitions! There’s even an evening of stories, exploring Beaulieu’s paranormal past. 3) Halloween at the House
Meet some of the spooky characters from Southampton’s history with this event at Tudor House & Garden. There will be the chance to have your face painted, or take part in the ghost tour of the house. Don’t be afraid to come in costume! What’s more, entrance to the house is free! Find out more >
4) Storytelling, Skeletons and Spooky Stuff!
Just 10 minutes’ from our popular community at Causeway Farm, Butser Ancient Farm are putting on a week of spooktacular activities! Join in with the Halloween-themed trail, listen to scary stories and handle some of the animals from the farm. Find out more >
5) Go pumpkin picking!
With farms scattered across Hampshire, you’re sure to find one close by to go and choose the perfect pumpkin. It’s always a great day out, and you can make everything from pumpkin soup to your very own Jack o’ Lantern! Find out more >
