Make your move to Yateley

08 Nov 2019

If you’re looking for somewhere new to make your move, there are plenty of beautiful towns to choose from across the south, but Yateley is one of our most popular locations. A vibrant town in north east Hampshire, Yateley is a wonderful community – here’s just a few things that make it a great place to call home.

1 – Beautiful green spaces
With two village greens and the protected Yateley Common Country Park, there’s plenty of spots to surround yourself with local wildlife in Yateley. The Country Park offers diverse routes for walkers and horse riders alike, including views of the ponds and lakes. Horseshoe Lake is also a popular destination for walkers, as well as a great day out for canoers, swimmers, paddle-boarders and sailors!

2 – Complete commuter convenience
Whether you’re travelling by rail or road, Yateley is an ideal location for commuter routes. With excellent access to the M3, as well as the local Sandhurst train station, you’ll find yourself in Reading or Guildford in no time.

3 – Outstanding schools
If you’ll be moving with little ones in tow, or looking to grow your family in the future, you can be rest assured that Yateley will give you a great choice when it comes to education. For primary years, Cranford Park Primary and Yateley School are both named “Good” by Ofsted. Westfields Junior School boasts an “Outstanding” status.

4 – Shops, markets and more
A pretty town with historic buildings, you’ll find a choice of convenience stores, pubs and restaurants. Need more choice? Yateley also hosts a market every Tuesday, so you can be sure that you’re supporting your local businesses and buying locally-grown produce.
In need of a break? Stop for some tea and cake in Café 46 or Short & Sweet Café and Coffee Shop. If you’re looking for somewhere nice to have dinner, why not try Cinnamon Bay for Indian cuisine, or La Galleria for a taste of the Mediterranean?
If you’re on the hunt for popular labels, Camberley can be found only 15 minutes away by car^, offering two fantastic shopping centres.

5 – Plenty of things to do
It may always feel like you’re searching for things to fill your weekends (or if you’re a parent, half terms!) – but Yateley provides an endless list of great activities, as well as links to nearby cities with even more on offer. From a number of popular festivals and fayres, clubs and classes at Horseshoe Lake Activity Centre and Frogmore Leisure Centre, you’ll have plenty to keep the whole family busy.
Looking to join a club or society? With regular activities including hockey, swimming, jogging and gardening, there’s certainly something for everyone. Golf-enthusiasts of all ages and abilities can also enjoy a nine-hole course at the Blackwater Valley Golf Club.
